• Keep it dry between uses. Handmade soap contains natural oils and no hardening detergents, so it melts faster if it sits in water. A draining soap dish or a soap saver makes a big difference.
• Avoid leaving it in the shower stream. Even a few minutes of running water can soften the bar.
• Let it breathe. Airflow helps the bar dry out and stay firm.

• Cut large bars in half. Smaller pieces dry faster and last longer.
• Use a soap pouch (like sisal) to collect small leftover pieces and use them to the end.
• Rotate bars. Let one dry completely while you use another.
