- Keep it dry between uses. Handmade soap contains natural oils and no hardening detergents, so it melts faster if it sits in water. A draining soap dish or a soap saver makes a big difference.
- Avoid leaving it in the shower stream. Even a few minutes of running water can soften the bar.
- Let it breathe. Airflow helps the bar dry out and stay firm.
